Prior to the creation …

... in our primary company, Hestand Associates, we have been providing a variety of residential and light commercial contracting services since 1991.  These services have included HVAC service, repair, change-out of existing HVAC equipment; typical plumbing repairs, whole house distribution piping, hot water circulating systems, chemical & sediment water filtration systems, kitchen & bathroom additions (new & existing installations); electrical renovations associated with architectural lighting and unique infrared or radio frequency controls, new branch services for supplemental electrical equipment.  It is through these varying exposures of trade and negative environments of serviceability that caused us to formally address our desires of bettering your Crawlspace Environment & your home's health in a separate scope from our other trades work.

The validation of need …

... through our involvement within the multi-disciplines of our work we have always been curious as to the reason that the State Building Codes have been so “soft” in not adequately addressing the crawlspace environment in which some (if not most or all) of the highest cost value to replace equipment is installed and located, as well as, the greatest potential for underlying property damage and health risks.  From a Building Code standard, no pockets or recesses are allowed and the crawlspace must be free from water.  Yet, there is no mention of protection from subterranean water impact softening the soils beneath supporting piers / footings or water migration causing elevated levels of humidity interior of the crawlspace.  Foundation drainage is required.  However, it is installed atop a near level cement footing with no direction of slope to convey the migratory water, nor is there any provision for long term assurance that the drain line will stay clear.

Concept of operation …

... is to create a new concept company solely for providing a single source entity designed specifically to improve the environment of your home's Crawlspace.  The general concept is; when the environment is properly illuminated, clear of construction debris, clear of organic debris and adequately accessible … the subsequent trades personal, as well as, homeowners will have the ability to provide a thorough and a more expeditious element of review, regardless of task.  This benefit is also financially prudent to the property owners in that each servicing contractor is now be able to conclude their task at hand in a more timely manner.

Our "Mission" …

... is to provide low-tech, specialized labor, cost effective remedies to Crawlspace Environments that are inundated with poor illumination, discarded construction debris, organic debris, elements of water (standing or subterranean) so as to provide an improved environment for the equipment installed within the crawlspace, to provide a neat an orderly surrounding in which the servicing personal are to be working within and to provide remedies of structural failure; ultimately, to improve the quality of your "Home's Health".
